It’s indeed a great honor for the International Youth Parliament to have spoken on the inaugural panel of the #CommonwealthYouth Forum, an inter-generational dialogue that addresses how young people from various backgrounds, in collaboration with invested stakeholders, can take charge of the future. The stage was shared with Hon. Rosemary Mbabazi, Minister of Youth and Culture, Rwanda, Reeta Roy, President and CEO, Mastercard Foundation, Mitwa Ng’ambi, Chief Executive Officer, MTN Rwanda, Kendell Vincent, Caribbean Regional Youth Council Chairperson and member of IYP, Chaeli Mycroft, Co-Founder, The Chaeli Campaign, and Ms. Chido Mpemba, African Union Youth Envoy. This year’s forum will address the CHOGM theme ‘Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming’, with a focus on “A Global Reset”, dealing with the impact of the pandemic and the Commonwealth’s role in rebuilding and reinvigorating the global economy.
