It was indeed an honor for the newly inauguration West African Young Parliamentarians Network (WAYPA) to be hosted by the Liberian UNFPA, His Excellency, Hon (Engr) Promise Anurika Nwadigos from Nigeria and President International Youth Parliament and Honorable Abdoulie Njai Mp from The Gambia who is the Deputy Speaker of the International Youth Parliament (IYP) and other members of the parliament from across the continent. accompanied by Honorable Samuel Enders, Representative for Montserrado County District Six of the Liberian Legislature.

Our discussion focused on the vital role been played as members of their respective parliaments in empowering adolescents and youth across the West African region.

Hon. Njai and Hon. Nwadigos are participating as members of a parliamentary delegation from West Africa attending the official launch of the West Africa Young Parliamentarians Network. This launch coincides with the 7th Annual Youth Education and Leadership Conference, organized by the Youth Network for Positive Change (YOUNETPO), which is being held in Ganta, Nimba County Liberia.
