  • Empowering Youth and Advancing Afro-Descendant Rights- A Historic Partnership Unveiled in Nigeria

In Nigeria, I have the honour to present the cooperation agreement signed document to Empower Youth and Advance Afro-Descendant Rights to The Executive member International Youth Parliament Advisory Governing Council Board and Honourable member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu. In his remarks, he thanked the Executive Chairperson of the International Youth Parliament, Her Excellency Dr. Cecilia Maurente Beherns, Her Excellency Hon. Gloria Rodriguez Santo, Senator of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and Chairperson of the Afro-Descendant Parliamentary Group, Mr. Harold Robinson, Secretary General of the Afro-Descendant Group, distinguished members of the parliament, youth leaders, and all members of the diplomatic communities, for making time for this milestone achievement.

Now the world can see that the Afro-Descendant Parliamentary Group of Latin America and the Caribbean and the International Youth Parliament have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement in an online ceremony. The International Youth Parliament is now joining hands with other regional parliamentary leaders to ensure that young voices are heard and valued through inspired progress and innovation changes. His Excellency, Hon. (Engr) Promise Anurika Nwadigos, IYP President, handing over the document to Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu, assured that the partnership will promote youth participation in decision-making, strengthen policies for Afro-descendant communities, foster collaboration across regions, and together build a more inclusive, just, and sustainable future. #YouthLeadership #AfrodescendantRights #GlobalPartnership #IYP
